Hi, I’m Chizu.

I was born and raised in Japan, and have been living in Australia for many years.

Before jewellery, my journey began in the kitchen — working as a chef, creating food with care, hoping to bring happiness and comfort to people through what I made.

Creating with my hands has always been part of who I am.

On my days off, I would draw, make small accessories, and quietly explore my creativity. Over time, I found myself drawn to silver and gemstones — their softness, strength, and the way they hold light.

That gentle attraction slowly grew into South Orange.

South Orange is a jewellery brand rooted in self-love, quiet strength, and the feelings we carry for ourselves and for someone special.

The name reflects life in the southern land of Australia — warm sunlight, orange-toned sunsets, and a gentle glow that softly brightens the heart.

Each piece is handmade, one by one, allowing natural imperfections to exist.

Like a small talisman, each piece is created with intention — to offer courage, warmth, and a reminder of your own inner light.

I believe softness is strength.
